After quickly selling out an initial batch on the official HU store, the Hollywood Undead one shot comic book issue, produced in partnership with the legendary Heavy Metal Magazine is now shipping from Heavy Metal and comic book distribution company Diamond to retailers and customers en masse!

Scene for Dummies recently received our copy direct from the Heavy Metal website.  The book sees HU not as musicians but heroes fighting to save Los Angeles from a brainwashing conspiracy orchestrated by a villainous LA politician.  The issue clocks in at 56 pages, nearly triple the length of most mainstream comic books with an MSRP of $4.99.

The story is penned Paul Allor (Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles) with art by Drew Moss (The Colonized).  Adam Wollet and Omar Estevez/Ortiz Rivero provide letters and colors respectively, with Billy Martin and Edgar Delgado teaming up for the cover artwork.

Until now, the only other methods of obtaining a copy were through purchasing a merch bundle on the official store, or from the band’s merch booth during one of their shows (with an exclusive foil cover, autographed for VIP attendees).

The Heavy Metal website is running a sale right now, and you can get the book for just $3.49 before shipping.

If your local store didn’t get the book, but can order a copy for you, you can show them this Diamond/Previews listing, that will help them order a copy for you from the distributor.  The book’s official Previews item code is OCT171632.
