The demand for Rammstein’s three concerts at Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt is immense. However, fans hoping to get last-minute tickets should exercise caution.
Frankfurt – The Rammstein circus is coming to town. On July 11th, 12th, and 13th, the band will perform three stadium concerts at Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt. Fans who want to attend but missed out on the official presale are facing a problem: ticket prices for the sold-out shows have skyrocketed on the secondary market. Tickets on Viagogo are being listed for up to 5987 euros – a huge markup from the original price of 70 to 131 euros. Additionally, entry could be denied.
Rammstein has strongly warned against purchasing tickets from unauthorized sellers. “Rammstein tickets purchased through these channels do not grant entry to the show,” the band stated in an official announcement. The reason: the tickets are personalized, and spot checks are conducted at the entrance to verify that the ticket details match the attendee. If there is a discrepancy, entry will be refused. There is also the risk of acquiring counterfeit tickets, especially for the Frankfurt shows.
Ongoing Dispute Between Viagogo and Rammstein – Tickets Being Sold at Exorbitant Prices Ahead of Frankfurt Concerts
There has been a legal dispute between Viagogo and Rammstein for some time. In late December, the platform was fined 20,000 euros for repeatedly offering Rammstein tickets. As of mid-May, according to a statement from Rammstein’s concert promoter MCT, the judgment was not yet legally binding, as reported by T-Online.
For fans still searching for tickets, despite last year’s allegations against lead singer Till Lindemann, there is a legal and safe alternative: returned tickets are available through the official resale platform Fansale at prices ranging from 90 to 157 euros. These tickets guarantee entry to the concerts on July 11th, 12th, and 13th in Frankfurt.
The exorbitant prices for Rammstein tickets even surpass those of other major events, according to Bild. For Taylor Swift’s concerts in Gelsenkirchen, Viagogo listed tickets for up to 2357 euros, while tickets for the Euro 2024 group stage games were being offered for up to 3385 euros. However, the immense demand for tickets to Rammstein’s sold-out concerts in Frankfurt is driving prices on the unofficial secondary market to astronomical levels. This is despite recent criticism focusing on lead singer Lindemann: women have shared stories online and in media reports of experiences they found disturbing. Young women were allegedly selected at concerts and asked if they wanted to attend the after-show party. Some women have described these situations as leading to sexual activities. Lindemann has denied the allegations. Prosecutors in Berlin and Lithuania have closed their investigations.
